The kuranda trading post is a modern tourist complex comprising a licensed 300 seat restaurant, a 150 seat side-walk cafe, souvenir shop and foreign currency exchange. The restaurant/complex is in the centre of town, including the railway station, within walking distance of all attractions, the skyrail terminal and kuranda markets. The complex has been designed in true queensland tradition so as to fit in with the atmosphere of kuranda. They have now introduced kuranda's largest selection of gelato and ice cream made on the premises utilising locally grown tropical fruits.

It has grown with the town everlasting retaining the values which has made this Restaurant world famous whilst not in a way of expensive menus or waiters in white aprons but smiling young locals taking time to chat with customers while serving consistent quality meals at logical prices. The Beginning is largest and maximum urgent for the Inbound Group market which occupies the main inside dining area seating 300.
